Tulips and Fresh Cut Grass....

I came to the best conclusion today...that after 18 inches of snow in the past month, frosty feet every night, and endless mornings walking the dog in my stocking cap-mittens-and every warm article of clothing I won at 5am....that SPRING has finally arrived.

Today I smelled and rolled in the fresh cut grass of my apartment complex and neighbors yards. I dabbled in sniffing up all the fragrance I could from the red and yellow tulips at work and the beautiful dogwood shrub my neighbors just landscaped into their frontyard. I enven took a stroll through the WalMart Garden Center just to look, play, and shed a small tear at not having a yard to plant pretty flowers in and a happy green yard to mow.

I will not be sad though! No! I will enjoy all the bounties of spring without the labor of upkeep. I will run through the park, picnic under my favorite tree, and read at my fovorite lookout soaking up the springtime sun and breathing in the fresh spring air.

Oh Spring, I am so happy you have returned to me:) Please stay forever!

Of course, now the only thing really missing from this spring is some fat fuzzy horses to shed out and the wet saddle blankets saoked with the sweat of preparation for an amazing show year. Hmm...just have to work on that one....
